Aaron Pryor, Jr.
is the youngest of three boys in the Aaron Pryor family. Being 6' 4-1/2", Jr. was a natural at basketball,
playing for Withrow High School in Cincinnati and Wilmington High School in Wilmington, Ohio. Receiving a basketball
scholarship from Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio Aaron attended college from 1996-1999 majoring in Computer
Science. Pryor enjoyed college b-ball but he just couldn't keep boxing off his mind. Finally in
1999, Jr. made the decision to devote himself fully to boxing and began his amateur career under the direction of his
legendary Hall of Fame father. Pryor Sr. taught his son that success is only achieved through
hard work and dedication. Aaron Jr. followed his father's advice and in 2003 he won the Cincinnati
Golden Gloves. When the time came to turn pro The Hawk knew there was only one place for a 6' 4-1/2" fighter. Aaron,
Jr. headed to Detroit and trained two years in the steamy hot basement of the legendary Kronk Gym. Under the watchful
eye of Hall of Fame trainer, Emanuel Steward, Pryor Jr. honed his craft. Ready for action, Aaron Jr. is back in
the Hawk's nest in Cincinnati and carrying on the family boxing tradition.
